 Power car 43164 leads the 13.15 Paddington to Cardiff Central past Steventon Causeway level crossing. Steventon appeared to have been left 'til last when it came to the installation of the wiring for the incredibly over-budget and late electrification programme. Notice the white sighting panel painted on the bridge in the background, there would have been a semaphore bracket signal just in front of this. This signal was the up starter bracket at the platform end of Steventon station that closed in December 1964.
