66707 'Sir Sam Fey-Great Central Railway' shatters the peace at Thurston station as it passes leading the 11.22 Felixstowe to Doncaster Freightliner. This station is high up on an embankment with timber platforms constructed and supported from the rear down the slopes of the embankment. The 66 is named after the career railwayman Sam Fey who became the director of a number of railways, not just the Great Central, and is credited with his visionary approach to his work, for example introducing season tickets.
