Grove Road signal box (GN, c.1880) Grove Road level crossing is situated on a minor road that leaves the A638 (the old A1 Great North Road) just south of Retford. The ex signal box is a Great Northern Type 1 box dating from c.1880. Today, it is closed but for emergency use. The crossing is monitored by CCTV from Ranskill.
