Dunragit station closed in 1965 along with a number of

others on the route between Stranraer and Ayr and the complete closure of the Portpatrick and Wigtownshire Joint Railway from Challoch Junction to Dumfries, commonly referred to as The Port Road. The platform remains can be seen here with the old station building.
