57304 & 57309, stabled Thunderbirds, Crewe station 57304 'Pride of Cheshire' and 57309 'Pride of Crewe' stand in the middle road at Crewe station. These two class 57s were not on-dispaly at the nearby DRS Open Day as they had to perform their Thunderbird duties as contracted by Virgin West Coast. These, as do other class 57s, sit at strategic locations the length of the WCML in case of Pendolino or Voyager failure.
