03073 stands at Crewe Heritage Centre. This is not just

a display locomotive but their resident shunter for moving locomotives and stock around the museum complex. Judging by its ticking compressor tank, it had been employed recently for such a task. There were about 250 of these shunters built by Doncaster and Swindon works and very successful they were! There are a fair number preserved and in use today being popular on the heritage scene.
