37108 was delivered new in December 1963 to Darnell, Sheffield. It remained an engine of Northern England before going to ScotRail where I travelled behind it on my Scottish Railrover in 1984. It became a Transrail locomotive before EWS took possession and promptly condemned it in December 1999. It was saved and has undergone an extensive restoration and looks superb complete with its mini snowploughs seen here at the Crewe Heritage Centre.
