I am standing on a footbridge that spans the line that stood atop the ends of the platforms of the old station that closed on 07.09.64. This scene, looking south, was very different before closure. There were numerous sidings to the right, Roade signal box and a link up to the Stratford-upon-Avon and Midland Junction Railway (SM &J) that crossed the LMS lines about half a mile south from this spot on a girder bridge.
