I like the East Midlands' livery, it looks equally smart on these class 222 Meridians and on the HSTs. East Midlands also makes an effort to keep its trains looking clean and smart. Here, in the lovely soft evening light, 222008 'Derby Etches Park' crosses Harrowden Junction north of Wellingborough, working the daily 18.05 London St. Pancras to Lincoln Central. I find it strange that the station at Lincoln is still persistently referred to as 'Central' by all the railway TOCs and Network Rail. There is only one station in Lincoln since St. Marks closed in 1985!
