165107 has run round and is returning to Oxford station as the 5L24 ECS ready to work back to Didcot Parkway. In the foreground is Rewley Road swing bridge, a well known feature here next to the Sheepwash Channel, a tributary to the Oxford Canal. Robert Stephenson designed and constructed the swing bridge in 1850. It was re-built again twice, lastly when steel girders were included. The bridge is now a scheduled structure and there have been numerous, but so-far unsuccessful, bids to restore it.
