Now completely hidden from view by tree growth is the former Worstead signal box. It was opened by the Great Eastern in 1891 and has been closed for some years as it was derelict when I photographed it in 1983! It is now used as an impressive and grand garden shed. The small village of Worstead gives its name to the high quality woollen yarn that originated in the area. Unfortunately, there is no local manufacturing of the yarn remaining.
