70003 was making a fair old racket as it climbed the 1:200 grade from Northampton that begins to level out only when the train reaches this location, Roade Cutting. It was heading the heavily laden 03.26 Garston to London Gateway Freightliner (4L52). These locomotives have gained quite a reputation for the noise that they make. Indeed, living close to the WCML as I do, a class 70 always grabs my attention over other motive power as it passes.
