Rainham Signal Box (Closed) (BR, 1959) Taken from the pedestrian bridge at the level crossing with Station Road the boarded up remains of Rainham signal box is seen. Architecturally it is not particularly attractive but it is of its time! Built by BR in 1959 I'm sure that it was a significant step up from the old box that was situated at this end of the up platform almost opposite the present one.
