It's almost as some kind sole has cleared the front of 43044 so that I could identify the power car! The 07.30 Nottingham to St. Pancras comes around the curve past Findon Road sidings on the approach into Wellingborough in miserable conditions. 43044 was a 1977 Crewe built example that started its life on the ECML. Personally, I think that this East Midlands' livery is one of the best that hey have ever had. The HSTs look as fresh and modern as when they were introduced 40 years ago.....thoughts anybody?
