Class 350, LN 06.24 London Euston-Crewe (2U23) & class 221s, VT 05.38 Preston-London Euston (1A04), Haversham SP818425
London Northwestern meets Virgin on Haversham Viaduct. The 350 heads
north with the 06.24 London Euston to Crewe whist the class 221s are into the last half hour of their early morning journey from Preston to Euston. I can't quite get my head round why an 8 coach diesel is utilised running all the way under the wires down the West Coast Mainline? I am sure that the timetablers at Virgin and Network Rail have their reasons but it does not seem to be the best use of available resources?
