As we came into Crewe all eyes were to the

left of the train as we passed Crewe Diesel Depot. The Exa camera did a good job at capturing what was about given its slow shutter speed and the waist-level viewfinder I was forced to use; difficult out of a train window at speed! Here 25161 and 24035 seen stabled on the depot. The 25 was withdrawn in 1981 only to be reinstated 'til 1984. The class 24 had another year in service being withdrawn in November 1978.
